SeaTac Airport North Main Terminal Redevelopment Project

227,013 sf | SeaTac, Washington | Infrastructure & Public Works

The North Main Terminal Redevelopment Project (NMTRP) at SeaTac Airport is a major mechanical and building upgrade to the north end of the main terminal.

Primarily focused on the upgrades of the Alaska Airlines ticketing and baggage handling levels, upgrades also include the extension of the bridge level across the entire main terminal, allowing for future tenants and travelers to enhance their experience checking into their luggage and providing additional retail space for travelers to enjoy.

Hermanson plays a large role in the project by supporting the phased turnovers and major mechanical upgrades in mechanical room 4, at the north end of the main terminal on the STS level, and major upgrades to the mechanical equipment located in the penthouse of the main terminal.

While the permanent equipment is being replaced, Hermanson is providing comfort heating/cooling to all continuously occupied spaces using temporary air handler units that have been assembled in the courtyard at the far North end of the main terminal. The temporary system installed is in a tightly compact space that truly highlights Hermanson’s success in project planning and execution in delivering a system that meets project expectations within the designated construction schedule.
