IKEA Retail Store Relocation

400,000 sf | Renton, Washington | Special Projects

Hermanson completed HVAC & Plumbing Plan & Spec construction for IKEA’s new Seattle-area store adjacent to their existing facilities in Renton.

Hermanson crews completed extraordinary installation of 4,500 feet of gas pipe in just 12 working days to meet the tight project schedule, and Hermanson’s detailing team provided input that saved both time and money at the 400,000 square foot retail showroom and warehouse structure. Installed mechanical systems included 47 new Aaon rooftop units, along with 34 new exhaust fans, 3,268 solar panels on the roof, and was one of the first applications of a symphonic roof drain system in the Northwest. This system allows the roof drain piping to run level throughout the building, maximizing the ceiling space.
