Hermanson Construction Cost Index - Q2 2024

Jul 8, 2024 | Mechanical Construction Cost Index

Many of Hermanson’s clients – owners and general contractors – seek to understand the trends impacting Mechanical Construction Costs.

In the second quarter of 2024, the Hermanson Estimating Team tracked an increase in mechanical construction costs, with our overall project price rising 2.8% compared to Q1 2024.

The primary factors for the change in costs were increases in the cost of PVC and copper materials, as well as an increase in Union labor rates that took effect in June 2024.
