Meet Warren Brown, our seasoned Plumbing Foreman at Hermanson Company. With over three decades of experience in the mechanical construction industry, Warren brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.
A true Pacific Northwest native, Warren grew up in Shoreline, just north of Seattle, and has called the area home his entire life. Family is central to Warren's life, and he cherishes spending time with his wife, Kristie, and their two children, Ian and Alexandra. When he's not on the job, Warren enjoys attending sporting events, especially Mariners baseball games and tries to visit as many stadiums across the country as possible.
Warren's journey into the industry began by chance in the early 1990s when he accompanied a friend to apply at the local hall. Though he didn't know it at the time, this decision would shape his career path for years to come. "I fell into it," Warren recalls. "But I quickly realized it was the right fit for me."
What Warren enjoys most about the mechanical construction industry is the opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds and see projects through from start to finish. "It's nice to see projects you've worked on as you're driving around," Warren remarks, "you feel tied to the community, and it gives you roots."
At Hermanson, Warren appreciates the supportive work environment and the emphasis on work-life balance. "I get backing not only from my bosses but across tradelines," he says. "Everyone there is trying for the same goal, putting our best foot forward so we can be proud of what we've accomplished when we walk away."
Warren emphasizes the importance of thoroughness and effective communication when asked about the most crucial aspect of his job. "Representing our trade and Hermanson well is key," he explains. "Communication with tradespeople, owners, and clients is essential."
Looking back on his career, Warren reflects on the unexpected journey that led him to where he is today. "Thirty years ago, I had no idea where this path would take me," he says. "Some people are good working with their hands, and this is a great way to get exposed to different opportunities."
Warren's advice to fellow Foremen, Journey Workers, and Apprentices in the industry? "Be open-minded, embrace new technologies, and pick up different tidbits from as many different journeymen as possible and take the best," says Warren. "We don't do it on our own; success is a group effort."
Thank you, Warren, for your dedication and contributions to Hermanson Company. Your commitment to excellence and teamwork genuinely makes a difference in everything we do.
