To embrace the spirit of giving, every year Hermanson Company organizes a charitable drive to benefit a local nonprofit during the holiday season.

This year, employees gathered newborn pajamas, onesies, baby shampoo, diapers, receiving blankets, and a plethora of other infant goods to donate to the Pediatric Interim Care Center, The Newborn Nursery located in Kent, Washington.

Collection bins were placed in all Hermanson office and shop locations and donations were collected throughout November and the beginning of December. On December 13th, Hermanson delivered over $5,000 worth of infant supplies and donations!

Pediatric Interim Care Center (PICC) is the nation’s first interim care nursery for drug-exposed and medically fragile newborns. Founded in 1990, PICC’s model program has given more than 3,100 infants a safe and healthy start in life. PICC provides 24-hour medical monitoring and nursing care to fill the gap between hospital and home for infants recovering from prenatal drug exposures or other medical difficulties. PICC’s pioneering program also facilitates visitation for families, provides caregiver training, follows the babies after they leave, and offers a range of community outreach and education services.
