The Art Stable is a unique mixed-use development located in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. Built on the site of a former horse stable, the 7-story facility provides large apartment-style units featuring highly energy efficient systems. Hermanson worked closely with designers in a Design-Assist role, providing HVAC and Plumbing system construction. Features include: Geothermal heat pump system that runs in loops through augercast structural pilings of the buildings foundations In-floor radiant heating and cooling Natural ventilation The Art Stable received a 2011 AIA Housing Award and was named Residential Architecture magazine's 2011 Project of the Year.
