Integrated Project Delivery

Working hand-in-hand with LEAN concepts that eliminate waste and improve efficiency and product, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) seeks to further improve the entire Design and Construction process and to reduce common construction pitfalls such as schedule and budget overruns. 

Teaming the owners, designers and contractors, IPD brings all participants together to encourage informed decision-making early in the project when the most value can be created. 

Hermanson has worked on a wide range of projects that apply the principles of IPD.  Open-book estimates track projects from concept through construction to clearly define all costs. Trade detailers are co-located with design professionals to complete construction documents and eliminate redundancy in effort.  Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D MEP Coordination clearly illustrate how the project will be constructed – and identifies and eliminates potential conflicts.
