Hermanson Company has been an industry leader in the use of AutoCAD and computerized 3-D modeling to produce shop drawings and provide MEP coordination for complex construction projects since 1989. Our first 3-D shop drawings were completed for a major addition to Evergreen Hospital. We are currently using Building Information Modeling (BIM) for several projects and have been responsible for MEP coordination, including 3-D modeling, for some of the region’s largest and most complex construction programs.
Hermanson Company can save a project time and money by utilizing 3-D modeling to develop MEP coordination documents and shop drawings. We draw a 3-D model of complete HVAC, piping and plumbing systems prior to fabrication and construction to verify system fit. This model allows pinpoint accuracy to fabricate ductwork, piping and plumbing, and eliminate fabrication delays, insuring smooth installations. We are able to identify areas of possible conflict and work collaboratively with the General Contractor and other building trades to eliminate these conflicts before manpower hits the jobsite.
MEP Coordination allows us to significantly reduce mistakes in fabrication and to reduce labor that would typically be spent in fixing problems and waiting for other trades.
