Hermanson recently welcomed Soph Davenberry as Test, Adjust, and Balance (TAB) Technician and Kelcy Ayres as TAB Apprentice to support service and construction efforts. Soph & Kelcy will mainly focus on the needs of Hermanson’s Owner Direct Solutions (ODS) Department and “quick hit” service needs.

With over 20 years of experience, Soph is an expert in smoke control, specialty test equipment, and systems assessments. She has acquired and maintained multiple technician and supervisory certifications with the Test, Adjust, and Balancing Bureau (TABB), Municipal, and several other entities. Soph and Kelcy are both members of Western Washington’s Local 66 Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transportation (SMART) union.

Kelcy started in the construction trade right out of high school and has been working in commercial HVAC controls for the past nine years. She joined Hermanson looking for a challenge and to expand her expertise in mechanical systems.

“Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing is critical to making a mechanical system meet its design parameters in comparison to what was installed. It is a vital finishing touch on each project because, without it, there is no way to know if the system was installed and is functioning as intended by the engineering team as well as the end user,” says Ayres.
