Ribbon cutting celebrations officially opened the Harborview Norm Maleng Building (Inpatient/Emergency Building) on June 17, 2008. This building, representing the largest mechanical project in Hermanson Company's history ($30,000,000), provides eight new operating rooms, 50-inpatient rooms, acute care, rehabilitation and clinical facilities.
Hermanson was responsible for HVAC-Sheet Metal, HVAC-Piping, Plumbing and Medical Gas systems installation for the Inpatient Expansion and seismic upgrades to Harborview's North Hospital Trauma Center tower. These improvements help the hospital meet new Federal Emergency Managment Immediate Occupancy standards after a significant earthquake, as well as providing critical new facilities.
